About Me

Welcome to my personal portfolio website! My name is Craig and I am a Web Developer with a passion for full-stack development. I am currently full-time with Catchfish Online after getting my honors degree last year at UWS in Paisley.

I started gaining commercial experience in November 2018 with Made in Scotland where I held a placement position thanks to my college. This gave me invaluable experience within this industry. I used a variety of themes depending on the project but mainly Enfold and Avada. I spent alot of time with Elementor which I love using, as you can see by this portfolio.

My current job uses a variety of the above at times but mostly uses Oxygen builder within WordPress. This plugin removes the need for a theme and is pretty powerful to build sites. My day to day varies depending on what the project is but it can be builds from scratch, e-commerce builds, maintenance and updates, and amendments to already built sites.

Through college and university I experienced an array of different languages and techniques. I found myself preferring PHP with MySQL(MariaDB). I love using LAMP stack and play with it any chance I get. I like dabbling with different languages to see what I can produce, my favourite through college was C#. I currently strive on having a better understanding of PHP, as well as being able to read and write it properly as object oriented.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in, and have had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and projects. My approach to my work is centered around learning and improve my skills.
