My Artwork
Healthy Eating Infographic
During my first trimester in my HNC one of the first tasks we were given to do as an assessment was to create an Infographic about Healthy Eating. This was to be done using Adobe Illustrator.
I created this A3 poster which was one of the first times using Illustrator. I picked a little too much green but showed the techniques that we were taught in class like how to make a ribbon and created this masterpiece.
College Logo
This was the second assessment during my HNC, using Illustrator and After Effects where we had to remake the college logo in 3 different variations then create a gif of introducing the new logo.
I created 3 different variations of my new logo which are very similar to each other which are shown below. I then created a scratchcard reveal from the old image to the new. This was done using After Effects and following a YouTube tutorial.
*I have uploaded this as a video due to how the gif runs on page load with a constant loop.
Film Poster
This Assessment was during the second trimester of my HNC and I was tasked to make a film poster that was copyright free. We were able to remake an existing film or to make up our own film. This assessment took place on Photoshop which was my first time using Photoshop.
I choose Laputa Castle in the Sky film as some of the artwork is spectacular for this movie. Sadly my drawing skills are not spectacular and I really struggled through this assessment. I actually drew the robot on my graphics tablet which took me much longer than I had anticipated. However, this is my final art piece which I was more than happy with.
Word Composition
This was the final artwork assessment in my HNC where we were to pick any word at all (apart from the word love as someone previous killed this word for the lecturer) and make a poster. We were given free reign to do anything at all. The only rule was to not put the word on the poster.
The word I picked of course was Dragon. I love dragons as well as most mythical creatures. We again had to make it copyright free and a friend kindly drew me a dragon picture on a bit of paper following my film poster mishap. I had to scan it in and trace it in Photoshop and colour it in. The flames are from a YouTube tutorial which I had fun creating. Sadly my other 2 flying dragons at the top were experiments on 3D animation software which did not turn out too well. I included them as they were quirky to me and make me laugh when I see the poster. The images of houses are vectors which looks strange in the image but overall, I enjoyed this project very much!
